Control of phase-separated morphology in mixed monolayers of amphiphilic comb polymers containing diamino-s-triazine and non-amphiphilic s-triazine derivatives with fluorocarbons

In this study, s-triazine rings (or their derivatives) were introduced into a two-dimensional phase-separated mixed monolayer of hydrocarbon-fluorocarbon chains. The diamino-triazine ring facilitated the absorption deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) molecules in monolayer. diamino ring-containing copolymers which hydrogenated hydrophobic chain was able to form mixed-phase-separated monolayers when combined with an fluorocarbon-based molecule low molecular weight having no hydrophilic group. Hydrocarbon-based that formed side-chain crystals single-component influenced steric hindrance and tended be amorphous film. However, regularity along c-axis direction guaranteed, introducing long-chain alkylated amphiphilic enhanced crystallinity promoted formation circular domains.
